Anime music already in Rock Band?
In an effort to ensure that this thread was not a duplication of something already posted, I searched thoroughly and found dozens of threads requesting anime and/or J-Rock songs to be added to Rock Band, but I didn't see any threads cataloguing which songs were already in Rock Band.

This may be because this is a very short list!

If you include all anime opening, closing, and insert songs plus themes (including films and OVAs) but don't include live-action films (such as "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall"'s inclusion in the forthcoming Uchuu Kyoudai adaptation), what songs in Rock Band are also found in anime? As the selection of Japanese language songs is limited, I imagine that most of these songs would originate in other places.
    • The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya — "Gymnopedies (Satie)" by Thomas Walker
    • Eden of the East — "Falling Down" by Oasis (This is only available as GH4/5/6 DLC, but having only one item in this list seemed too sad.)
Do you know of any other songs to add to this list? This is not a request thread, despite how much a human being might like "Ride on Shooting Star" by The Pillows. It being a medium rather than a genre, there is a lot of music from anime with which I am unfamiliar, but I would love to put it all into one list. Do you know of any OPs or EDs in Rock Band? Any other musical themes on RBN?

"Do You Want To" by Franz Ferdinand is both in Rock Band and the ending theme for "Paradise Kiss"... also, in Japan the song "Girls On Film" by Duran Duran was used as a theme for "Speed Grapher".

I think Richie Kotzen's covers of some of the music from the original 1979 and 1980s Gundam series would be fun for RB... atleast for guitar. Me and my music teacher likes it much..

You know what's weird? There is a J-Rock genre option on the Songh Finder, but there are no songs that are labeled as such.

    I think this needs correction.

    There's been a J-Rock label for years.

"J-Rock", "Pop/Dance/Electronic" and "World" are all genres on the song tracker that are unused. Song genres in Rock Band are sometimes sloppily classified, such as some of Gaga's DLC being listed as "popdanceelectronic" instead of the fore-mentioned genre.

A small but nice bone thrown to j-rock folks comes from a European rock band called JoanOvArc. They have their Japanese language version of their hit "Say, Sayonara" available as DLC.

Waiting til eternity for anime tunes like the small album's worth of pop rock (HTT) and metal (Death Devil) from the K-On! franchise.

Japanese music labels are very difficult in terms of licensing music, especially for audiences outside of Japan. I doubt most of them would do much speaking to an American game developer.

Basically, apart from a couple of Japanese pop acts that are signed to major global labels, about your next best bet for Japanese music in RB is in the experimental and avant-garde space, and I doubt Harmonix would be that interested in having the likes of Boris, Vampillia, or Ruins as featured DLC.
