Probably not, they didn't for Hall & Oates.

Well, that's pretty cool for those people who got their request/wish granted.
Sadly, it will never happen for me, since with the news of A7X taking the #1 spot, I removed some bands from my wishlist to give all 10 of my points to Muse.
(My apologies to The Smiths, Morrissey, Coldplay, Radiohead and Florence + The Machine that I betrayed you all like that.)
That's how they're deciding to give out more points? Can I just state that that is TERRIBLE?
Well seeing as how it seems the only way to get more points is to have your wishlist bands show up as DLC i've decided to not leave it as all 10 on BNL and instead spread it around to my actual top 10 realistic bands that i want on the game (or more from). The current ranks surprised me for some of them.
Modest Mouse (97) That seems about right
Matt & Kim (222) understandable
The Sounds (596) That one was a bit of a shock because they are on disc.
OK Go (424) That one surprised me too. I thought they were a bigger deal.
Billy Joel (513) he already has 18 songs as DLC so that is expected
Barenaked Ladies (34) THEY MUST BE HIGHER
Thomas Dolby (722) Really? Thats one of the few that i figured might actually be coming soon.
Beck (398) I thought more people were all for more 90's alt.
Men At Work (322) Thought this one would have been higher with the recent leaks and point system
Franz Ferdinand (651) that one should be higher but i get why it isn't
No Donovan MMB?
Why is it terrible? It's encouraging people NOT to dump all 10 of their points into one artist(because, let's face it, Harmonix is using unique users contributing, not total points, for demand). Plus, NO ONE said it's the only way they'll give more points.
Green Day is hanging out in the Top 100, though a lot of that may be 'release them as DLC!' points. There's also Rush, Chili Peppers, and Queen in the Top 100, though.
Megadeth's at 64.
