RBN Community Spotlight : March 2012
The March announcement thread starts now!

If you've been following the earlier thread you know we've gotten a pretty awesome band on board, and we're HOPING to be able to announce it today. There are still some things we need to lock in before announcing, so as of right now we can't announce this band. However, that might change during the day, and if it doesn't then we'll make a separate thread as soon as we're able to announce.

Also we were dropping some hints about a band we're working with. The hints were that they have been in GH multiple times, both as DLC and on disc, that this band was one that a few years ago no one would ever imagine them coming to the Rock Band platform, and lastly this band had Lex's favorite on disc Guitar Hero 3 song.

A few of you have guessed it, but we'll start off today announcing the band in question is An Endless Sporadic!

Being a Neversoft employee band, back during the heyday of the GH/RB rivalry no one would ever think that a 'Neversoft' band would come to their rivals platform.

We're working on four songs from them :
Impulse, Anything, The Triangular Race Through Space, and From the Blue/Point of No Return!

Here's a look at the first song we're working on From the Blue/Point of No Return :

Stay tuned for more exciting announcements throughout the day!

As an aside, there's some nasty weather moving through here, so if there's no updates for a long period of time then blame mother nature. If this does happen I'll be back on as soon as possible to keep the announcements going!

DIdn't that include a third part, TTRSS or something, back on the GH?

Regardless, An Endless Sporadic is awesome.

Mega excited about AES, especially about Impulse and The Triangular Race Through Space. Those should have some great keys parts as well.

And yes, Impulse was my favorite GH3 on-disc song, although Cliffs of Dover was a VERY close second.

Also, that first track looks like a LOT of fun on all instruments (and it also looks very hard on keys).

Damn, I didn't even remember what Impulse sounded like, been such a long time since I've last played GH3. A definite buy.

If you have some bigger names than AES lined up, you could actually steal HMX' thunder this week.

Look at the list of songs we're doing. "The Triangular Race Through Space" does that look at all similar to your (slightly inaccurate) acronym? Yup. The version on GH was a medley of these three songs in a 10 minute track. We're doing From the Blue/Point of No Return together in one track, and The Triangular Race Through Space in another. So don't worry, you'll still get the third part.
