No it's not. The process for licensing the songs for this project is different. The process for actually getting the songs into the game is...RBN.
I understand what you're saying, but HMX clearly doesn't feel the same way, since they created a separate subforum (and store) for RBN. Regardless of how you're getting the songs/bands/label on board, at the end of the day, these are still going to be RBN songs. Even if you had Led Zeppelin on board, they'd still be RBN songs.
Sorry to be Buzz Killington here, but the same rules should apply to this thread as to every other thread that's discussing RBN songs. (And seeing that the thread was moved, some moderator agreed)
I sense a bit of a problem with Germs. Musically, it is essentially Terrible Lie (and it's listed as being a parody of it as well). If you can't get parodies then I doubt you could get this one either. If you can however, then good for you!
Anyway, my vote is for When I Was Your Age and Nature Trail to Hell. WIWYA was a song I wanted to play from the moment I played GH3 for the first time!
Oh, and Bob, Craigslist, Skipper Dan, Ringtone, The Night Santa Went Crazy and Christmas at Ground Zero would be awesome too!
Actually some people think it's a cover of Closer which is why it's a style parody and not a specific song parody.
Trent Reznor said in an interview "He made a better NIN song than I ever did. I hate him."
He was joking of course :)
I think.
I'm hoping Albuquerque is that other choice you have, but from the ones you gave us, CNR and Germs would be my choices.
My least favorite of those is "When I was Your Age". This is not a complaint if that's what we get though.
Nature Trail is fun. My big preference would be something with keys though.
