I'm guessing all the reasons are legal and none of them technical.
TBH, I don't bother doing imports because there's no Pro modes that way. I play my LEGO rock band songs in LEGO rock band for example. -

I definitly don't condone this, but I'm suprised no one has created a hack for this yet, seeing as so many people want it.
I personally just want DLC. If it comes fantastic, if it doesn't, Oh well, still a great game :) -
