Carlotta just made landfall in southern Mexico as a Category 1 Hurricane with winds estimated at 90mph.
Tropical storm Debbie just hit Florida! You're going to experience the salty irony taste of failure Team Pacific!
(Damn you HMX! Limiting my right to use 19th century slang!)
Debby hasn't actually hit the USA yet, it's been mostly stationary just offshore. Much of Florida has been under Tornado Watches for days now thanks to the outer rainbands producing plenty of supercells. The current forecast track (now almost a perfect 180º off of the original forecast track that took it to Texas) has it coming ashore Wednesday night in the northwest part of the Florida peninsula. This hasn't been a very easy storm to forecast, that's for sure.
We had a Chris too, but it wasn't worth mentioning.
