Amen. The originals are beyond dated, nostalgia be damned. No breeding, no special defense stat, no seperatation between physical or special attacks, awful balance issues, etc.

I expect Pokemon Black and White 2 to make my list when they're released in September, as well.

Oh wow, all-time list? Let me see if I can even remember a lot of these games.

In no particular order, but grouped by gaming system(s):

    PC (Windows and Commadore 64)
    Unreal Tournament '99
    Diablo II
    Team Fortress (1 & 2)
    Dr J. vs Larry Bird
    Oni
    Impossible Mission
    Spy vs Spy
Archon: The Light and the Dark
    Raid Over Moscow
    Civilization 5
    SimCity 2000
    American McGee's Alice
    Quake (Original)
    F.E.A.R.
    Company of Heroes
    Portal
    Everquest

    Sega Genesis
    Bill Walsh College Football
    Sonic the Hedgehog

    Nintendo
    Tecmo Bowl
    Contra
    Goldeneye
Mortal Kombat (Up until it went 3D)
    Super Mario Bros. 3

    XBox
    NHL '12
    Rock Band (1 & 2)
    Guitar Hero (1-3)
    Braid
    Limbo
    Castle Crashers
    Gauntlet Legends
    Soul Calibur 4

    Pinball Fx

    Playstation
    Phantom Brave
    Disgaea (1,3)

    Pizza Hut

    Dig Dug

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I know I'm missing a ton, though. This list is pretty much part fun, part nostalgia, and all awesome for me.

Uhhhh...yeah, there is. It's based off type, not technical move contact(though how Earthquake is a contact move is beyond me).

Anyway, top 25? Maybe later. Rough top 5 would be Pokemon Blue, TWEWY, Rock Band 3(for sheer hours and money-tearing, if nothing else), Fallout 3, Final Fantasy IV.

Fallout 3 is all the fun of Bethesda sandboxes, but I could play it for more than Achievements. Oblivion, I only went after the Achievements, then meh'd the game and went off. Skyrim is faring better.

That's what I meant. Gen. 4 seperating each individual attack into either physical or special was the best thing to happen to the series.

The original Gen had problems with item management, not healing Pokemon when they get put in PCs, type balance (some type matchups were flat out wrong according to their own type chart and don't get me started about psychics), no exp bar, plenty ways to get screwed over (mainly due to money), and a very poor variety of competent final tier Pokemon.

Don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but I find it outdated. Still a tremendous nostalgia trip, though.

I feel like I'm the only one in the world that loves Zelda II, sometimes.
