The game itself (the 'demo', which becomes the 'full' game after applying the unlock) is something like 350MB. When you actually launch the game after unlocking it, it will prompt you to download the song pack (which is about 900MB if I remember correctly). And it's only after downloading and unpacking THAT will you see these songs in RB3.

Now, the PS3 game connections to the stores are having trouble right now, so it wouldn't surprise me if the song pack download may be hitting a snag as a side-effect of that issue.

...Well, do I feel stupid now. In my defense, I think that the system is a bit too complicated for what it is.
Anyway, thank you for your help, now I got the thing up and running!

I hate to be an annoyance, but does anyone else have an issue getting the game to even start? When I choose to play the game, it takes nearly an hour or more to "find downloaded content" Is this common for everyone, or is it just due to the large amount of dlc that I have? Any thoughts?

An HOUR? And you think that's normal at any level? Harmonix released a game that spends an HOUR loading? Is your storage device on its last legs?

    probably that yes

does it do this every time? or did you only start up the game once so far. the first time always take loads longer.

if it does it everytime, at least backup all your savegames on an USB stick or something because there's a pretty good chance then that it's a bit broken and can crap out any second

Thanks for the advice everyone... To clarify, no, I don't believe that it is normal to take that long to load, I was just checking if anyone else was having this issue, and yes, it does this every time I try to load the game, and this is the only game that has this issue. I haven't had any other issues with any other games, or saves, just this one. I got it to load the other night, but had to start the game, go to bed, and come back in the morning, then I could play it... Things are backed up, so if my hd does go down, I'm at least backed up that way. But anyway, no one else has experienced this? Hmm... Well, thanks everyone, I'll keep trying... =)

Might wanna try deleting the song cache for Blitz from your HD, typically that'll help with loading issues in RB3. It'll still have to have the long load when you boot it up again next, but it should hopefully fix it from that point forward. Didn't see it mentioned so I figured it's worth a shot. Hope it helps you, that's some crazy loading to have to deal with every time you play it.

Where is your dlc stored? Is it all on your hard drive?

    How?
    I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier Mama
    Jealous Guy
    Oh Yoko!

I checked "How?" and it seems to be available in the store.

Anyone else have this problem, or was it just some weird glitch I ran into last night?

It happened to me, too. Played Jealous Guy through three times before I realized it was the song and not my connection creating the problem.

Are you on Xbox? Because I (PS3) have a leaderboard score for "I Don't Wanna Be a Soldier Mama" just fine (haven't played any of the others).
