Well, I'm glad you got it, but I'm curious if you skipped the drum solo. If you save a full Jackpot activation and use it right before (or during) that last guitar sustain, you'll get a metric ton of points. I know the first time I played it I was extremely tempted to go over to the drum section, but managed to think better of it just in time. That long sustain got me the gold stars (barely) even without Jackpot, and it's crazy to think how many points I left on the table without it.

The 2 songs I can't gold star ATM are Rock Band Network songs(who would have guessed).

    The Cascade Effect by Chaotrope
    Madness by Myrath

they both suffer from Impossible checkpoints, double solos and lots of solos back to back.

Any official HMX DLC is pretty easy to GS with the exception of Child in Time. No official DLC comes even close to that song.

One Vision (RB3 Version) is driving me nuts. In 6th place with no gold. Any suggstions? I've made it to 294,000 both with Jackpot/Blast/Guitar and Bandmate/Flame/Drums.

This one was kicking my butt for the longest. If I remember correctly, I used Jackpot/Blast/Drums. It uses the same strategy as RB2 version.

Follow this guy's advice. Just be sure to keep your multipliers up and you should be alright. It might take a couple tries; this song is fiendishly difficult for a DLC song.

FINALLY beat One Vision. Used Jackpot/Flame/Guitar. That seems to be the combo to gold any song assuming you get a couple of favorable flame placements.

Sup, this is my first post, but I was struggling with this, and I just got 2nd (PS3) on the leaderboards out of nowhere. Flame notes, bandmate and super drums. get the bandmate in on the drum solo and get 80%-ish and FC the guitar solos, and hope for the best with the flame notes. Hope this helps.

Oh hey, I haven't seen this thread pop up for the longest! Good times, good times.

Well, since it's still around, anyone have a strategy for YYZ? I know I'm probably just doing something wrong, since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet.

I can't remember there being anything particularly notable with YYZ, so I'll suggest you try Road Rage/Blast Notes/Synchrony. Just focus primarily on hitting every sync measure and chase overdrive and blast notes wherever they are and I don't think you should have a problem.

I think that song would be difficult to use Flames effectively on. And Synchrony is WAY more valuable than I realized until the Flame nerf hit and I was kind of forced into using it. There are plenty of songs where you can basically gold star just from Sync alone.

I still have no idea how to GS Asylum by Disturbed. All their other songs are easy as anything, but this one song refuses to surrender.

YYZ should be an absolute joke with Bandmate/Flame Notes. You only have to play 1 lane with bandmate and flames won't escape.
