Since this is the year anniversary of the community Rock Band thread I thought in celebration we'd talk about what TAG is going to be doing for the NEXT year. So here's an advanced 'look' at what we'll be bringing to you later in 2013.

This stuff is still a ways out. We've got our current pile of fun to get through, but we wanted to do something special for the thread in honor of the year mark so here goes!

Since I started TAG there's been some watershed bands (at least for me) that I've been chasing since even before we released our first piece of DLC. We finally locked down a lot of them and so I'm proud to announce a VERY early look at what you can expect in 2013 (later half of) from TAG.

You should probably sit down ;)

    The return of Fearless Records
    American Head Charge
    Slightly Stoopid
    Black Light Burns (Wes Borland)
Early Avenged Sevenfold (first two albums)
    Sublime
    Children of Bodom
    The return of Subpop records
    In Flames
    Brendon Small/Dethklok

It's been a hell of a year for us at TAG.

2013 is going to be even better.

See you all next announcement thread and everyone keep rockin!

This is all sorts of win. Bodom and In Flames are nice grabs.

The second A7X album is (IMO) the closest they've come to a stone-cold classic and I hope that Second Heartbeat, Chapter Four, And All Things Will End, and Both Parts of I Won't See You Tonight get released. I'm not too fond of the first album, though.

The list of bands I see coming from SubPop is impressive. A lot of those I would snatch up.

I always considered TAG to be just one step ahead of every other authoring group. Now they seem lightyears ahead. Fairwood, ASP, etc better step it up!

It's not a rerecord. It's the reprise version from the deluxe edition of the album.

And I'm also curious about what sublime we can expect. Hopefully some stuff from the self titled album but i won't hold my breath.

Oh, thanks for the insight. Regardless, I still can't stand it. All the grit and charm of the original is gone. It just sounds.. bland.

Shining Sun used to play on WAAF out of Boston all the time when it was released. I would kill to have that track, it was fantastically RHCP-tinged.

This is absolutely my feeling, with no offense intended to TAG.

Even at Harmonix, things come and go like crazy. I've been heartbroken from time to time over things we haven't released because the "solid deal" fell through at the last minute in one way or another.

With that said, it goes both ways. We've had some really unexpected, kickass opportunities show up on short notice with zero expectation on our part - and I have no doubt that this kind of opportunity will happen for TAG and every other active authoring group. But a year away is a really long time.

    .

My sentiments as well. I don't mean to naysay, but we still haven't heard anything about the Kickstarter in months.

That's pretty much the point of it. An acoustic bare vocals version. The "bland"ness of it is intentional. I actually like both versions, but if we get one for rb I would prefer the original. Hell I'd be thrilled with the whole sublime album.

Also, with the kickstarter needing a kickstart, I would love for hmx to release a 3 pack of chevelle and then when it gets going to get another 3 pack from the kickstarter. They are high enough on the facebook app.
