It's okay to not like things others like. But when you call two radically different bands similar, say DragonForce and Iron Maiden, then there's a problem somewhere.

Of coarse, when you made that comparison it wasn't out of dislike, but still.

You should probably sit down ;)

    The return of Fearless Records
    American Head Charge
    Slightly Stoopid
    Black Light Burns (Wes Borland)
Early Avenged Sevenfold (first two albums)
    Sublime
    Children of Bodom
    The return of Subpop records
    In Flames
    Brendon Small/Dethklok

Congrats on all of these. Looking forward to Sublime, CoB, In Flames and Dethklok the most and will be very interested how the early A7X material sells as everything released so far has been major sellers (not sure about "So Far Away" as it's on Blitz).

However, this is pretty sweet and I'm excited for you guys, TAG :3

Children of Bodom have a song in GH5 and GHWoR and they have a song that is DLC in Rock Band

Time for me to make my first announcement of the day!

Joining the likes of Steve Vai and Bumblefoot, another guitar virtuoso is coming. Hailing from Brazil, Kiko Loureiro of the Brazilian power metal band Angra is hitting the RBN. Three of his songs will be arriving, including fan-favorite "Headstrong", as well as two songs from his new album Sounds of Innocence, "Conflicted" and "El Guajiro".

    Here's the first.

I'm sure some of you noticed me talking about not enough Ska/skater punk music in Rock band the other day.

This is what I was referring to.

We're working with OPM to bring their track Heaven is a halfpipe!

    http://youtu.be/dT65fpfaDQY

We'll be working on other tracks from OPM as well so stay tuned for future announcements!

Hey, I think I remember this was in a Tony Hawk game!

Well, here's hoping those tracks do come to fruition, I think we all know how abruptly nasty things can get. (Said as I pine over our folder of unreleasable tracks....)

Anywho. Four bits of stuff, some good, some bad, some new, some old.

First: New and nothing to show. I've rebuilt the website! ...And it's not done! But my stock and trade is currently web programming, and I've long needed to redesign the thing into something simpler and more modern. So I'm in the midst of doing that, using a very handy jQuery plugin that'll end up with a much more interesting site than the fairly boring one-column thing I've got going now.

Second: New and something to show. And something you might actually care about. On top of our partnerships with Redfield Records, Turkey Vulture Records, and Despotz Records, we can add: Goomba Music! These guys have nothing to do with Mario and everything to do with our latest old-new band:

    Scum of the Earth

From 2012's "The Devil Made Me Do It", we're bringing out "Via Dela Rosa" and "Born Again Masochist". And yes, that's a video link for Via Dela Rosa. Riggs is really excited to be our first Nu-Metal artist (by his own selection), and the guys at Goomba are eager to offer up even more of their roster. And you will recognize some of their names. (Not you Cipher.) (Okay, maybe Cipher will. I dunno.)

Third: Old and something to show. The next Goin' Places track, "You're Gonna Be My Girl". A short and upbeat track containing what I'm quite sure are veiled threats. Or maybe that's just how Staten Island is. Either way, that's going into Playtest today.

Lastly: Old and nothing to show. And a bit of a sad necessity, due to myriad personal and logistical issues there will not be any further Indie Allstars bundles. I appreciate the support you guys have shown, and I suggest anyone who really enjoyed the concept follow the MusicRage team. I will not be speaking publicly on this any further.

Yeah, I know it is. I just get angry when people flat out try to deny me having opinions or criticisms. It's pure BS.

And the Dragonforce and Iron Maiden comparison is one of my most infamous comparisons and probably the one people forgot what actually happened. Glad you remember though. And I stand by my comparison. I fell in love with Dragonforce and was more familiar with their work, and even though Iron Maiden is older, connecting them to what I already love was a great way to get me to like them. So at the end of the day, I got to appreciate a band I didn't before. So I have no regrets.
