    Seriously though, if that's your idea of a diverse and varied style...then I don't know what I can tell ya.

    * John Parr - "St. Elmo's Fire" (yes, RBN song outselling regular DLC)
    * Modern English – “I Melt With You” O
    * Crossfade – “Cold”
    * Dragonforce – “Cry Thunder” O

    I think the popularity of "Jessica" stemming from GH will boost it beyond the rest, and "The Weight" will garner more of a following due to the demographics of the prolific DLC buyers. Which I thinks sinks "Closer" to 3rd, though I think this will be close. Next I pick upset 4th place as "St. Elmo's Fire" due to it's popularity and recognizable sound.
    The other 3 could go either way, but I think will trail the others substantially. I'll be getting them all, though.

    Anyway, well written review, but I'd hardly refer to the Allman Brothers as a one hit wonder.
    Billboard has also always been a big deal. Remember Casey Kasem's American Top 40 back in the 60's and on up? Maybe not....you might be too young.

    I think "St Elmo's Fire" will sell the worst because of its location in the store (the 3 RBN songs were right at the bottom of the first page because of all the GD songs so add these 6 and it's already off the 1st page.

    Everything this week can wait. I see nothing I absolutely must pick up day one. The variety is great though.

    It is listed as an RBN highlight, if I remember correctly, so it may show up on the left-side display for many people over the coming weeks. It's got that going at least.

    Again, it comes down to playing style. If you don't have the ears for it, then of coarse you can't point out the differences between different artists. For example, most people who don't listen to metal in general think that all death metal songs sound exactly alike, when in fact they don't.

    It's one of those things that you'd be able to point out the differences to if you studied hard enough, I guess. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I've never understood people saying they sound the same with every song. And especially this week's song, which is rather slow in comparison to the other songs on GH or RB.

    There's no law that says we have to agree with each other LHV.

    And, there's certainly no law that says we have to talk till we're blue in the face in some clearly vain attempt to try to 'convince' the other party.

    Very true. Though that last post was me saying "I guess I can see why you'd think that a band whose songs share a similar structure for the most part has only "written" one song."

    after listening to the weight, i recognize it and will probably be picking that up too.

    so that'll be 3/6. yes to the weight, melt with you, and closer. no to jessica, crossforce, and dragonfade.
