"Closer" appeared in (at least) two different flavors on the radio. Shoot, back in Atlanta, it wasn't uncommon for the same radio station to play both edits, depending on whatever mood struck them at the time. One was the album version with the lyric snips, and the other was a much shorter single edit.

It sounds like we're getting the album's music, if not exactly all of the album's words. That's good enough for me!

The band I produced in college, the lead guitarist loved to sing the famous line from "Closer." But he didn't sing it like in the actual song. He sang it like it was a jazzy showtune. It was nothing we ever recorded, it was just some screwing around he would do between takes and while someone else was tracking.

Great week. The one I look forward to the most is Jessica.

Just watched the trailer. Epic. I never heard of the Crossfade or Dragonforce song before the announcement, they sound pretty meh by the trailer. Kinda would have preferred the studio version of The Weight, but I probably wouldn't get the original either since it's a bit too slow for my tastes. As I said earlier, Jessica and I Melt With You are instabuys so far, but I'll have end up spending 6 bucks this Thanksgiving break since I still have to buy Footloose. It'll be worth it though!

The songs are long for pro. Lot's of points maybe. 3 dollars per song on 2 systems is 12 dollars so maybe not.

I checked mobile Facebook, and clicked through to the mobile brower, where the "X" at the end of the line for "Jessica" was nowhere to be seen. It turns out that the formatting on that small screen had forced the Pro Guitar / Pro Bass upgrade mark to the next line, where it was sitting all alone and easy to miss. That led to 10 minutes of confusion / disappointment / wondering if any songs in the post-RB3 era had ever been given a Pro upgrade weeks after they were released, after the message boards demanded it...

Lesson: mobile phones are still a rather imperfect substitute for a full-sized screen.

    Yes, that has happened.

Don't think that was the reason for it, though.

Seriously? Oh, the RB3 Nirvana songs, as part of the anniversary, right? That was GREAT.

I think that RHCP song was the only post-RB3 song to get that treatment.
