I agree, or more larger single packs in general as it makes it better for everyone (as more to choose)

Great week. Everything except for the DragonForce is day one buy. And I may end up getting that later in the week.

This is the dlc weeks i miss, i understand 6 packs of one artist not selling well, but that gave us more to choose from (people can find more new music by a artist they may not of liked than)

But that's probably just me. :P

The animation programming on several of the last few releases has been sub-par (avatar collisions, distortions, mediocre lighting choices). I can understand this for older track imports (RB1, RB2, etc) but given the outstanding programming (lighting, etc) of many tracks -- just don't want to see the quality degrade.

I see at least 2 or 3 on the upcoming release that look worth buying.

I think animations is least thing to worry about though right now... i mean who except the singer has the time to watch animations half the time or does?

That used to be my attitude but I've found that probably half the people who play this game play it to create bands and dress them up and watch them play on stage. Many have stated that they consider that to be the game (there've been some forum polls on the topic, here and this older one which I created). For the most part they play at a difficulty level which gives them time to pay attention to that stuff and/or don't really care about their scores. They miss the old tour campaign and the ability to unlock all of the costumes and instruments and accessories without having to complete goals involving all of the instruments.

You don't even want to see the Wii version then, which is several magnitudes inferior. Not to mention with absolutely no updates unlike the other 2 consoles.

Being a experienced Expert player myself I have learned to pay attention both to the notes and the stage animations, so I also agree with good stage animations helping making the game much more enjoyable. Not everything have to be a full out music video with flashy effects everywhere I guess, but sometimes I wish a little more care could have been put into it at certain parts in recent ones (especially Animal I Have Become's last chorus).

Also personal opinion, but I wish the Horror Movie Special post proc would have been used less frequently and replaced with other effects like Photocopy in more cases. On Raining Blood it fitted quite well, but when it pops up in all Metal songs at every growling part it becomes a bit repetitive.
