so what do you suggest that? that hmx and microsoft personally visit every person who accidentally DL'ed the wrong track and force them to delete it? it's not like there's any way to remotely force the Weight file to be undownloaded and uninstalled for those who got it by mistake. and if you think this was "unfair" i'd hate to know what you think about all those contests HMX runs where some people get free DLC and most of the rest don't.

So I played guitar for the week, and here's my "reviews," from most fun guitar chart to least fun guitar chart. Though there wasn't a single snoozer here IMO.

The Allman Brothers Band - Jessica

Lots of varied and fun patterns here. It starts with some chords that might throw some people off, but when the main riff starts it's all uphill from there. The solo is the highlight, obviously, and was the most fun part of any song in a long time (not counting RBN here). It's a must if you play an instrument. Just buy the damned song :)

    DragonForce - Cry Thunder

Lots of HOPO work here, and most of the patterns are actually manageable for the average player. The trill lanes in the solo kinda turn me the wrong way, but I understand why they're there. Overall a fun guitar chart.

    Crossfade - Cold

I'm a sucker for HOPO chords, believe it or not. So I had fun with this one, simply because it's easy-to-hit HOPO chords for the most part, and the solo's rather nice as well.

    Nine Inch Nails - Closer

The song takes a while to start up on guitar, but when it does we're greeted to a fun little riff, but most of it is a strumming pattern that gets dull after a few repetitions.

Modern English - I Melt With You

I personally like simple chord patterns, so it was still fun, though not as engaging as the songs above.

The Band - The Weight (Live)

My least favorite of the week because I found it mostly bland, though there were some HOPO patterns that were fun.

I have noticed that to. It seems as if all harmony or background vocal audio is missing from the song. Just played an mp3 I have on my hard drive of this song, and it has the background vocals and harmony audio in there. Makes me wonder if HMX wasn't given all of the stems for the song, or if it was errouneously omitted.

Care to weigh in on this HMXHenry? :)

I've played all the songs I bought now (5 of the 6). Only on guitar, but played them now.

Cold was kinda fun. I think I enjoy listening to it more than playing it though.
Cry thunder was awesome. Fun! Actually fun!
The weight was the one I wasn't sure of, but I enjoy playing 3 note chords, and it's full of them!
    Jessica was amazing.
Closer was a pleasant surprise. Repetitive, but good :D

Yeah I wanna know what the deal is too. I hate it when certain parts of a song are omitted. I mean, the song still has harmonies, but they're two-part instead of three-part, which is what it would have if it had all the background audio.

So yeah I wouldn't mind hearing what HMXHenry has to say.

As posted elsewhere, was surprised that the hardest song on pro keys wasn't Jessica, but The Weight.

Jessica is probably my favorite bass line this year, if not all time.

Just sightread "Jessica." Freaking awesome. I LOVE IT when DLC hits the spot -- you know that sweet spot, hard but still fun? It's tough to hit. It's a narrow spot. "Jessica" hits it square on the nose.

Jessica is probably the most fun guitar track released since Still of the Night, maybe even Maiden, and I'm not even joking.
