Spec Ops The Line.
Another game where the gameplay was nothing special but every thing else about the game was just fantastic. Nolan North was PERFECT and all other voice actors were phenomenal. Game looked amazing even on medium settings. One of the best games of the year, hands down.
I haven't even played any of the games in the poll...
I know exactly what I'll be voting for next year. That is, unless something can somehow pass up GTA-V
If you wanna accuse me of platform bias, go ahead. 7 out of the 9 actual choices are multi-platform. I maybe should have included Journey instead of Diablo III, but I wanted to have at least one PC-Exclusive game on there. If i re-did the poll, I'd probably take out Blops 2 and put in Far Cry 3 or something.
What I'm saying is that it's pretty damn hard to cover all the bases when you are only given 10 spots.
I voted other because of no TWD.
I also find in it funny ME3 hasn't even gotten one vote.
Spec Ops was a below average military shooter that got meta about War games towards the end. Not GOTY material in my opinion. I do regret not putting TWD on there, as you can see, it was my game of the year.
ME3 was an outstanding game with some story issues that got blown out of proportion by the internet mob mentality. They were never going to come up with an ending that pleased everyone, not with how personal of a game ME inherently is.
My Game of the year that I totally forgot about: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Really fun game, just painfully generic. The whole 38 Studios fiasco kind of ruined it for me, as well.
