Blitz: Probably when I can no longer improve my scores or reach 1 million blitz cred(very likely :p) or when the servers close.

Rock Band 3: I rarely play anymore anyways. I still pop in my keyboard or play vocals once in a while. Maybe 6 months after RB3 is officially over and online becomes a complete ghost town.

I enjoy being able to play drums in my livingroom without getting the cops called on me. That won't change. I'd like to chime in with "forever" as some already have, but, for me that would not be completely honest or realistic. With no new content ( and especially no RB 4) I'll eventually lose interest. Although I'm certain I will come back to it often enough because the game won't really ever stop being fun. Plus eventually my instruments or my 360 will give out. If my remaining cymbols give out ... well, I'd probably pick up my plastic guitar only occassionally for nostagia's sake. Eventually you got to move on, though, I guess.

Forever. I have all kinds of backup peripherals, 2 extra consoles, midi controllers, etc. Not sure if this too unhealthy, but I care more about the RB experience than I do about going to movies, going out to eat, going to a bar, most anything short of going to see live music or camping and fishing (I do have a nice generator....hmmm ...Outdoors RB and Camping just hit the bucket list, or the gotta do it once a month list.) Thinking about it....Going to Possum Kingdom for a camping trip in May....Going to play Possum Kingdom at Possum Kingdom. Crazy outdoor RB thoughts now swirling....more to follow on this.

I'll play forever. As a vocalist, I don't have to worry too much about my mics breaking. And I haven't even started pro guitar and I need to. And I still suck on pro keys. Lots to do.

I will say this (and by no means is this some kind of knock on RB or decrease by any amount how I will miss it), I haven't written a single original piece of music since I started playing Rock Band 3.

Although I am getting up in years (gonna be 48 in April) and I was slowing down anyway. I could just as easily blame anything on my lack of productivity. Currently I don't even have any gear since I'm waiting for my house to be rebuilt after the fire and subsequent flood before I even purchase any.

Even if I do start composing again (which still is no reflection on Rock Band) that doesn't mean that it will be prolific. Putting material into the RBN was my current greatest motivator for writing new music.

Still -should- be even after the official DLC ends, right?

You need another option: "I'll be playing RB as long as I have a working Xbox360".

I'll be picking up at least two spare 360s when the prices drop after the NextBox is released. :)

I don't see how anyone can actually put a time frame on when they'll stop. You never know when you'll get bored with this game. You could say you're going to stop a year after official DLC ends, but quit in a month, and vice versa. But for me, as long as new RBN is still there and I'm having fun, I'll keep playing. On that note, I haven't bought a non RBN song in months. After they stop bringing out new official DLC, I hope more people start buying RBN. So many great songs.

I am guessing 2+ years. I have been using my current GHIII les paul controller for years and have another one unused so my instruments should be fine. The songs work for wii u so that guarantees me having songs on my current console for years. I just wish SOMEHOW they would be allowed to add all gnr songs before they stop adding DLC!

I bought a PS3 to play this game, and I love it so much! I'm continuing to play it.
