Is there a different one for everyone? Is it your own voice (or, more specifically, what you perceive as your own voice from inside your own head)?

I've been reading posts in a British voice lately. Quite possibly Stephen Fry :p

I've never been the person to read things in voices other than my own.

I like to read everything either in Christopher Walken voice or Samuel L. Jackson.

I still read DI's posts in Butters' voice.

As for everyone else, I just think up generic adult, kid or girl voices depending on the person and if I know there general age group and gender. *No creeping, this is just based on stuff posted by these users.*
As for people who are trolling, I usually think of the "Douchy McNitpick" character from the Nostalgia Critic videos.

I feel like "adult," "kid," and "girl" being three different things should offend me somehow, but I can't quite put my finger on it :p

It isn't a great show at all. It's a great premise, but the execution isn't all that great. And if I'm to take the comments in the videos as a sign, the fans don't generally enjoy it, either.

Unless it's someone I know(or has an avatar that implies a specific voice), I play the generic male/generic female voice in my head.

That's what I thought. Doug Walker just isn't a great original material writer, he's better at exposing flaws in what becomes an inside joke within the video fashion. Until he fixes his show anyone i perceive as a habitual screwup will be a Doug Walker voice.
