For what it's worth, when I say only 5% of players play pro guitar, I go by the career leaderboards, not knowing how many of them played one song on Easy two years ago and how many still buy DLC regularly. I know not everybody is online, but the percentages are probably similar, with the leaderboards skewed towards people who buy DLC.

As for pro guitar driving sales of a song, any increase in sales is negligible and sometimes the pro guitar song is the worst seller of the pack.

I could be wrong, but before GH:A was released, they released 'Dream On' as a promotion for GH3. It wasn't a live version. I'd play it to find out but I had it on PS3 and switched to xbox years ago.

Might of missed where someone already mentioned this, but was it the original or a remake?

It was a 2007 re-record. Just looked it up. (And the footnote indicates it was re-recorded specifically for GH3)

Oh my damn! Just finally got back on the internet and found this.

I'm getting the whole damned thing. Even the stuff from the new album (which I happen to enjoy).

"Dream On" was one of four re-records for GH:A. I would imagine the GH3 DLC was also that version, but will have to watch a YouTube video to confirm.

Not one bad song in the mix, which is nice. It's definitely better than the last "epic" pack we got, but it's still not on my top packs of all time, which is understandable. Unfortunately, none of these songs are good party songs, so that's pretty disappointing. If Rock Band really is truly dying, all I want now is 80s New Wave, 00s/10s pop/party music, Muse, Paramore, and Rush.

"Walk This Way" is a party song. I can see how the others wouldn't be; but with a quick tempo, catchy guitar riff, and an 'easy to sing-along with' chorus, "Walk This Way" definitely qualifies.

By party song, I mean songs that people I know want to play at parties. And I don't think any Aerosmith qualifies.

I would say the Run DMC version is more of a party song for sure.
