So, I'm a huge Kiss fan, but Dr. Love? It's one of their slower songs, isn't it?

God Gave Rock n' Roll, God of Thunder, Shout it out loud... well, there are many better ones.

As a fan of the show Dirty Jobs, and being a fellow Marylander (like Mike Rowe) and being a fan of FNM, I'd say "We care a lot" will be making it on my list.

The other two songs, not so much. But i'm sure there are people out there who will appreciate them.

Do you let your kids complain to no end if one of them doesn't like every meal they eat each month?

There you go not reading again.I have said it about 4 or 5 times. There have been many weeks where I have not liked one song, or two songs, or even all the songs. I have only stated that I will not be downloading it. No problem. This week is the first week I have actually spoken out. Why? Because this is just pathetic.

I need a little growing up? I spent $180 on a game that had great promise. I am satisfied with what I have. What ruffles my feathers are when 3 sub par tracks are put in as DLC, when there are so many other tracks that can be put in. Do they not look at the Setlist threads? Do they not look at requested DLC? How many people do you really think request Roam, or Dr. Love or the FNM song? Seriously . . .

I understand, if I do not like it, don't buy it . . . but at least give us the option of something worthwhile to buy.

As for my kids. They can complain when they buy the food. I can comlain when I buy the content.

That's all there is to it. If you want it again later on, just go back to the Marketplace. Once you select the stuff you've already paid for, it'll ask if you want to redownload it, and there'll be no charge.

One unfortunate side note to this is that if you download a song 3-pack, you can only delete or keep the entire 3-pack, not any individual songs, because the 360 stores it as a single file. So, you can't just drop, say, Blackened from your Metallica 3-pack.

    xxpigxx,

For never having complained before, you are pretty darn good at it. Keep at it and my ex-wife will have nothing on you.

Seriously, don't take me seriously. Just struck me funny. Proceed.

The sense of ego and self-importance put on display by many posters is mind-boggling...

The sooner you accept the fact that you will not like some, or even many, of available DLC downloads, the better off you'll be. Harmonix cannot cater their choice of material around any individual's needs/desires. You'll like some. You'll hate some. Deal with it and move on.

I love how many also assume that Harmonix has the choice of whatever songs they want to release as DLC, as if there weren't any rights or licensing issues to deal with. ("CMON DUDES!! WHERE'S THE FREAKIN' STARLAND VOCALBAND?!?!?! WEAK!!!!11!!1!")

Personally, I'd much rather have variety added to this game than monolithic repetition.

Well then, I should get on my local supermarket's forum and complain that they sell brussle sprouts, cuz I effin' hate those little green bastards.

Like you I'm also older, with children and a wife, house/car payments heh.. the whole shebang.. Personally I like this DLC EVEN if its not music I regularly listen to. If the DLC makes you mad, take a deep breath and at least notice that on this thread alone there are several people happy with the music selection.

Personally, I hope they keep filling niches, not everything has to be Metallica and Foo Fighters, or HIGHLY RECOGNIZABLE stuff, there should be some "highly recognizable" stuff that also.... here's the key guys:

    WORKS FOR ROCK BAND

Some people on these forums are asking for songs that IMHO make no sense for Rock Band. Closer by NiN? Is there even 4 instrument parts? Also I know that what makes this game better and more fun, are songs that everyone can get into.

No one in my house ever heard of Coheed and Cambria, and after playing that song for a while we love it. All my friends have picked up the CD or have it on their MP3 players. I personally prefer songs that are not mainstream though, I'd rather see more Radiohead, some Black Angels, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Clinic... etc.

But that's ******ed (see my post page 9), RB has to cater to a lot of people, if they did slip in some indie bands that I like I'll be real happy at least it shows they're trying to fill in niches.

For the record KISS and the B-52s are pretty well known, I thought FNM was more respected but I guess this forum has a high percentage of TRL youths or something. In any case, none of these songs are face melters, but I am almost positive MOST groups who play together will love this stuff. One of the girls who likes to sing and play bass is already calling me asking me if I downloaded the B-52 song. My wife has never heard of any other FNM songs but Epic, and one listen to We Care Alot and she thought it was fantastic... I get up to the Transformers line and everyone's chuckling.

Luckily there are more weeks in the year and full albums announced, its not like it's the last DLC ever. I might not be buying many songs in March, but I know plenty of people excited about the NiN pack and some of the other songs.
