Thanks so much! Now we can rock more. :D How'd the lesson go? I'm really very curious, because I'd like to do the same. While I know everyone's different, how much better prepared were you than just someone off the street?

Well...funny you should ask. The best way I can describe taking my real drums lessons is that it kind of feels like the first time I sat down to play RB drums on easy. I'm very self-conscious right now.

Having to play without the help of the RB note highway is really hard. I'm doing it, but it's not easy. My instructor said I would be way ahead of the curve within a month. That's comforting.

As I think back to how hard I worked to get to expert on RB drums.. I understand that's what it's going to take to learn the real deal. Practice! Hours of practice.

Muscle memory and limb independance is key, and RB has definately been fantastic in that respect. I think there will come a point where it will all click and fall into place. :)

I was hoping that you'd say that! And the lack of note highway will screw me up, too. I know it. I can hold a simple 4/4 beat (I sometimes noodle around just as a song is starting) but that's about it. Thanks for the update, that's very encouraging.

Wow DI that's really impressive! I got to the bar chords and that was as far as I could go with it. My squier doesn't like bar chords. My fingers don't seem to like them much either. Congrats. :)

quite impressive ... I just tried it and got 4 stars on Guitar and was happy enough with that

Hehe. I can't remember if I got a lucky run or genuinely found it easy. ;)

It's a weird song. I dislike the heavy vocals, but the actual tune is good. It's kind of Prog Metal but a lot more heavy. Not sure how to describe it exactly.
