    Although I gotta say, if you read anything that isn't written by Frank Herbert (the first 6 novels), you're going to be utterly disappointed/angry. They're not well written after his books.

    Dune is awesome, I am reading it right now. The first few chapters will confuse the hell out of you, but then it becomes easier to understand and the ideas and themes he incorporates into the book are genius.
