That's my mindset as well, I'll always enjoy playing Rock Band if I like the song I'm playing no matter if it would be boring to play or not.

when it comes to rock band, the charts stopped being fun, the really haven't been fun since the original RB and GH3, after that the games were too easy (or I was too good, one of the two) but I just lost interest

I mean I can still pick it up and gold star nearly everything, and I don't care enough to plot out a "path" for an optimal high score

I love "For what its worth" but the whole song on guitar is you just alternating held notes of blue and red.

I guess i can agree with you because "Melatonin" by Silversun Pickups is really boring, but i enjoy playing it still because I love the song.

I'm only an advanced player on guitar, I'd say. I have about 150 gold stars, but my highest is a tier 6. Also, that song happens to be "Welcome Home" which happens to be very easy to gold star without even trying.

(Then confirmed later on in RB with "Master Of The Universe" from the Metal Track Pack... as kickass as that era of Hawkwind was, it's stultifyingly dull to play.)

Master of the Universe is my favorite song to play on guitar in Rock Band
