I have to agree with you, this sounds about right.

Outside of the Exogenesis Symphony (which really is the standout piece of The Resistance), my favorite pastime with that album was just to go "hmm, who did they rip off this time?" Depeche Mode, Queen, possibly some SOAD in there as well... usually not a good sign when the influences become transparent.

And to think, my sister was on the FbR "street team" or whatsit when she was young and ignorant.

I saw the Queen, but not really the Depeche Mode. I did like Exogenesis Symphony, however...

The only street team I have ever been a part of, I am still in ( Coheed Street Team).

I did some street team work for a few Roadrunner Records artists for a while as well... mostly just retail tracking, though.

Coheed's street team is a steal. Early admission to shows and meet and greets and all that.
