8 1/2 is my fav Fellini as well. I love his work, along with the other films and their directors that you mentioned.

To contribute to the current film discussion, I watched Schindler's List for the first time last night. The film didn't feel as it was over 3 hours, probably because I was so engrossed in it from the beginning.

Was it because you were making out during it?

Seriously though, I haven't seen that one yet. I need to.

Top two favorite directors are probably Milos Forman and Darren Aronofsky. Lot of respect for Hitch****, FF Coppola, and Lumet, though.

Just got my copy of Celebration Rock today and it is easily one of the best albums of 2012 that I have heard, if not the best, and it is easily the best record by the Japandroids. Love this album to death.

Sorry for being a teenager, but Kubrick and Sofia Coppola are the two with the most consistent output for me. Favorite Criterion is probably The 400 Blows. The only two movies I like better than it more than deserve Criterion treatment: Funeral Parade of Roses (BIG inspiration for Clockwork Orange and currently unavailable in North American region, as well as Japanese and arty) and Can Dialectics Break Bricks? (French socialist version of riff trax basically where incredibly dense political philosophy is discussed by riffing on an old kung fu film)

After this conversation I realize I know nothing about cinema.
