RO: To this day I don't think anyone could play the bassline to "Lounge Act" with the feel and power Krist Novoselic did. Every "Lounge Act" cover I've ever heard is just so sterile compared to the recording. One of the greatest basslines - and most underrated bassists - in music history.

The shows problem isn't pacing, the shows problem is trite plots- unintelligent characters and unlikable characters.

Well hopefully Michonne finally joining the show will help.

I -hope- so, but I am not being optimistic.

I'm a little put-off by the hypermasculine nature of the show myself.

Pretty much. Hard to get into a show when you can't really bring yourself to give a damn about any of the characters.

Yeah, I gotta admit that I want the zombies to just kill the entire cast.

Especially given that in my book (conventional) tv series ought to focus on characters and character development. I don't know about character development cause I stopped after the first episode and the first book, but The Walking Dead has characters out of an 80's US republican propaganda ad.

I've just started the comic series, because I'm obsessive like that and won't watch the show without trying the source material. Not bad at all so far, though it's not as good as Invincible (Kirkman's other series). Is the show not a good adaptation?

This x1000. I know it can't be the hipster side of me that always wants to shout, "teh single is the worst song on the album!!!".

I still think that "Once More, With Feeling" is the best hour of television ever made, but I'm really enjoying it.

Very good. I've finished the third season... fantastic. I'll probably wait awhile before starting the fourth season. Or I might finish it now and rewatch it in time for the finale, since it's so short. Dunno.
