On another note, updating the last.fm scrobbler forced me to finally update my iTunes. I don't really like the new version, but if updating it allows me to properly scrobble stuff, then so be it.
There is seriously so much great "chillwave" out there:
Clive Tanaka - "Neu Chicago"
Giraffage - "Feels"
Groundislava - "TV Dream"
Myth and Tropics - "Waikiki 71"
Neon Indian - "Terminally Chill"
Work Drugs - "Third Wave"
Rose Quartz and High Living).
Oh and the first Neon Indian album is one of my favorites of the last 13 years.
I really, really like both Neon Indian albums. Yeah, the first one's better, but I think the second one is great, too.
I think I played the Neon Indian album once or twice. I just honestly can't remember if I do.
I still love the first one, though.
I'd like to link everyone here to this album which just got posted to Bandcamp for free. check it
Edit: Was able to revert back to the old iTunes and Scrobbler and everything seems to be back to normal. I'm not making the same mistake again in updating either one.
I have the scrobbler for iPhone, since I rarely listen to music on my computer anymore.
Hey guys, I'm currently starting to work on a sort of hip-hop album (though I plan to incorporate a bunch of other stuff), and I put up an instrumental of a song from it.
You can listen here http://captainpike.bandcamp.com/
RO: Beck's "Midnite Vultures" and The Avalanches' "Since I Left You" are perfect house party records.
RO2: I could listen to the guitar riff in Sammy Hagar's "There's Only One Way To Rock" for hours on end.
does anyone here have any interest in doing another turntable.fm room?
We have a TT room already.
We had a session not too long ago. Nobody in this thread is ever there though.
I'll do the turntable thing again. Just got to remember my log-in info.
It's a Facebook profile, but I don't use it. Got the password now though, so just give a heads up if a Turntable party's brewing.
I can't remember using Turntable since they got their own site away from Facebook, but I assume the format hasn't changed or anything.
EDIT: Just tested and I'm in. Looks like I still have my old queue as well, which is good.
I'm free 'til 11pm Eastern time on weekdays (though my wife is working this Saturday, so I'll be free then as well).
I'm just idling in the room for the time being in the previously posted room, but will proceed to rock if a few more folks show.
I would join, but stupid new security things make my proxy not work anymore.
I'd turntable again if people were interested, but no one was ever in there anymore, so I stopped.
I'm on Turdtable now, all alone.
The new interface looks pretty nice and searches seem quicker and cleaner now.
I'd join, but Archer starts in 2 minute.
I'd join. but America hates me >_>
I'd stick around, but no one has shown up all night so screw it.
It's hard to get people together. Like I said we don't do it much.
We're there now though.
I'm definitely still interested in doing an HoR turntable. I miss those days.
RO: PJ Harvey has aged like the finest meal of cheese, wine, and running make-up.
I might be able to pick up turntable again sometime. Lifes been a little hectic.
The session last night was pretty good even though I missed half of it.
I'll try to post in here if we have plans to do it anytime soon. I know none of you are in Waydrn much.
I bookmarked the Turntable room and have checked in today, but it looks like everyone's on a later schedule than me.
I may idle in the room here in a bit while I work on some things. If anyone sees me in there send a message or play music to alert me and I'll probably jam with you... 4 hours 'til my wife gets home and I'm already kinda bored.
EDIT: Timmay's here, so it's not totally dead anymore.
Yeah if anyone wants to join we're spinning.
