I think SSPU are better but I believe the Pumpkins are much more influential and I respect them a lot... but all in all both are great bands.

It's a shame Auf and James didn't wanna join Billy :(

    James Iha was fantastic :(

i think that the pumpkins were better up until machina, at which point i think the pickups destroy them.

Sucks that Metallica wouldn't put any of their songs on RB2 :(

(Seriously, someone said they thought Run to the Hills was by Metallica)

Iron Maiden sounds completely different from Metallica on pretty much every level

And I think A Farewell to Kings and Presto are tied as their best albums.

The riff in Twinkles is very Smashing Pumpkins-like. But other than that and the phaser effect common in both bands' songs, there really isn't too much similarity.

    Naturally, it's a great song.

I hate the keyboard nearing the end of Boston's Foreplay/Long Time. It's pitch and volume kill your ears if you're listening to it with an MP3 player.

Still, GNR owes 90% of their sound to Aerosmith.

That's up for debate. Of course, there's also the question of whether or not the company that makes Twinkies would have sued them and gotten the album pulled off the shelves. And personally, I would go insane if I didn't get my Carnavas.

I don't see why, the great thing about Rush(although I haven't been listening to them much at the moment) in my opinion is that every album is great.

Although I've said otherwise and even downloaded the DLC this week, I don't really like Nirvana. I'll take any other grunge band over them any day.

But an opinion is useless without a founding place to place the opinion on.

I love Nirvana's music, and Kirt's views even more, but I do prefer Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Haven't dived deep enough into the Screaming Tree's to say, but I like what I've heard.

There is too much good music in the world. I'd wish there was less good music, but then there would be less good music in the world, and that would be bad. Right now, there are about 25 bands that are on my "need to hear more" list. And then I have to listen to all the good music that I already know. I think my ears are melting from all the music.

Great for the vocalist. It's one of those songs that you would get so into, you forget that it is "boring".
