Droosies,
you seem to have all the answers, so please explain me something : Steel Battalion markup was standard at a time when dollars and euros had about the same value...
they are counting on the retailers to cut their margin to get rid of the stocks , to get advantage of the big disappointment that the initial price announcement created. they win
reasonnable : Microsoft gave them millions of dollars to get the exclusive release for a fe months, simple :)
after that, they try to tell us that they dont want to sell at loss to justify the high...
they sell one product for the price of two, but this equals to the profit of several products at once :) Us price, $170, EU price $360. real profit in US : $20( pure fiction, only for example)....
Damn ! i would have used tape, so that i could add to the price and pretend it is golden tape ! :p
Lol Aussies better not break their kits :D
except if their plan was to use big marketing campaigns and hype about how it is a very special experience, and not a game anymore, and then as a consequence it should be pricy, and they thought they...
You forgot to mention that the GH guitar is better quality too.
man, Activision must really like losing money.
maybe they think European gamers are big brutes more than two times stronger than the average american gamer, hence two time the US price :D
like we said before, if the warranty is the issue, they should just make better quality instruments, and they will save everyone (including themselves) a lot of money and headaches :)
i think they really mean : "Made in China... NOT ! Aprils Fools !" but that last part of the sticker was scratched during shipping. :D
In France we have a law like that too and manufacturers and retailers even add a year on sensitive(expensive !) stuff.
I can picture the EA and Harmonix executives :
"Hell yeah ! screw the US ! Europe is getting wood and metal instruments with gold rims and diamond buttons that can connects to real amps and make...
Maybe we gamers are not international shipping monguls (even though, some seem to be !), but Capcom is, and at a time when 1$ really equalled 1€, they sold a big equally large and heavy at the same...
What if they intend to sell us a completely new set of instruments that is far more resilient to hardcore users to make up for the 1 year warranty issue ?
Maybe they dont want to frustrate their...
Maybe the Rock Band Bus will make a tour also in Europe, but they will have to ship it to Europe, and seeig how bad their relationship is with their shipping partners, it will cost them ! :D
assuming they are very bad at negociating shipping and transportation costs (even worse than me, someone completely foreign to this), yes.
then come to Europe, you already have Rock Band anyway :D you will have cheaper freight fuel expenses (supposedly)
so their shipping excuse was also a big BS ?
So either they want to make Europe pay the full price of the individual instruments in the bundle, and rip us off if we try to buy instruments separately, Or they are ripping you off when you try to...
your neck will miss your head then :)
to quote them :
