On the contrary. A lot of people agree with you. Geddy has a...special voice that you either love or hate. Rush wouldn't be Rush without his vocals, though.
Damn, Mystlyfe77 beat me to it:rolleyes:
And it's not just the solo, the brass instruments through the whole song are awesome.
Btw, your sig wins, BaneOfIcarus.
Cream. It just sounds so...tasty. Plus, Disraeli Gears is a really cool album title.
The main thing that bothers me about this list is that it wasn't made by musicians, but by some journalist. Some of those placings are just ridiculous. Sure, Kurt Cobain was very influential and...
Life it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more...
Soothsayer. It's a lot like Whitewash, but just a little bit better in my opinion. The rest has pretty much been said.
Here's the discography:

Nothing beats Power Rangers theme. It's a freakin' shred (well part of it at least).
Out of these..Fresh Prince.
I'm not really into raprock, but RATM has a few good songs and Tom Morello is a real innovator, so they get my vote.
Matthew Bellamy
Hughie Thomasson
Joe Strummer (some songs)
Donald (Buck Dharma) Roeser(a few songs)
@Gargoyle2500: I think it's some kind of Gretsch, looking at the big whammy and the shape of...
All true, but if you're serious in your voting you've probably listened to quite a few songs by each drummer. If you haven't you can't really argue why you think one drummer is better than the other....
Instead of starting to argue about the bands in your post (especially Boston and RHCP), I'll just say:
Fact is that your opinion=/=fact.
Damn, didn't know Dire Straits had sold that much. Well, anyway, I voted Straits. Mark Knopfler is just too amazing to be denied, and as said, Brothers In Arms is very underrated.
Megadeth for me. Sure, you can't beat Master Of Puppets, but Megadeth has managed to stay true to their beginnings, which Metallica hasn't (I'm not going to say they sold out, but a band changing...
Guess I'll throw mine in too, then.
(Only personal opinion - this has nothing to do with commercial success etc.)
#10: Dio - Holy Diver (Say what you like about Dio only having 2 good songs, I...
Well..the overdrive phrases are always in the same places in the song. He means that you should preferrably hit the ones that are located in the intro.
So basically, anyone can vote for who they think is best? Doesn't seem very accurate to me, but some of them look like they're in the right places. But seriously, neither Chris Squire or Jack Bruce...
Ok, here goes..
10. Judas Priest
9. Muse
8. Rolling Stones
7. Cream
6. Boston
5. Ozzy Osbourne
4. Black Sabbath
3. The Who
Really nice list. It's good to see you haven't forgotten metal and prog, with Maiden/Metallica in top 20, Rush in 20th and Floyd in 2nd.
Some changes I would have made:
Aerosmith and AC/DC switch...
Word. I thought Rush was a half-known slightly-odd prog band that you either loved or hated. Turns out this wasn't the case.
Uhm..
1. What you say will have consequences. You can't criticize a band...
