Might it be an issue with the TV it is being played on? I have yet to see this on my older Sony WEGA 42" with xbox 360.

This ruins synergy its not just about shear quantity. When you have to pull the disc, find the new disc (if you have a lot of games this can take a while), wait for the game to load, load the band...

I got the lips Mics working on my copy of TB:RB just took turning them on and off a bit for them to recognize and work.

edit: Just realized you meant Lips mic doesn't work on RB2 (not TB:RB) which...

expansions are ok for additional gamerscore though, which they may be able to pull with Microsoft given how well rockband DLC sells.

Look at Fallout 3 for example, they release little DLC...
