ok, so this was an update that just happened without a patch?
Wouldn't it be a good idea for something like that to be mentioned, perhaps in the Messages part in game?

-The "random song" selection doesn't seem to be overly random. I've had some songs come up as many as 4-5 times while others have yet to come up at all.

Same story for me.
I had given up on RB3 long ago. On PS3, trying to play it multiplayer was just a crash fest for me, so I abandoned the game.
Picked up Blitz on a whim, and am I thankful I did....

I agree that a lack of RBN previews on PS3 is a problem.
I have bought a few RBN songs, but those were only from bands with which I was previously familiar (i.e. Tragically Hip). No preview for me...

I have never had a Preview selection option on RBN songs.
So, I don't buy RBN songs.
It's pretty simple.
But honestly, and it pains me to say it, I have no faith in HMX to fix any bugs on the PS3...
