Amen to that. May we all be blessed by heavenly synths and the light of a thousand neon lasers (my memory of the 80's may be a bit hazy).

Swapped out The Soft Cell "Tainted Love" with OMD and The Thompson Twins tracks, bringing it up to 80 songs even (for realsies this time).
Heh love those guys ;)
Thanks! Yeah, not the hardest song of songs, but probably the hardest in my setlist.
I did intentionally throw in a few lesser known (but still good tracks), but...
In the tradition of super-specific genre track lists (see: Rock Band: New Wave), I present the half-decade or so that saw the rise and fall of grunge, the years when "college rock", punk, new wave,...
Removed Modern English; added Madonna, Gary Numan, and The Soft Cell to round the list out to 80 tracks.
This is like the soundtrack of my life (circa high school). Thumbs up!
Excellent choices! (The Spoon track is already DLC, though)
I can't argue with anything on your list; I'm kinda partial to the indie/alternative songs on the suprisingly awesome Rocksmith track...
It's a late update. I apologize for nothing! Seriously, thanks for the awesome feedback though, everyone.
I hadn't heard a lot of those songs - I'll be investigating these artists further....
Comparing between the two is like deciding if it's better to get punched in the kidneys or the groin.
I have to admit "Would I Lie To You?" is not necessarily a favorite of mine - I knew bits of the chorus from movies and whatnot, but I never gave it much thought until I listened to it the other day...
Cool, glad most of y'all dig it.
Can't argue with "The One I Love"; there's so many great R.E.M. tracks it's hard to go wrong.
Yeah, if New Wave's not your thing, what can you do? Obviously I...
Yes, it was a sweeter, more innocent time. One filled with leg warmers, skinny ties, terrible hair, and many other lazy cliches. People were selling their guitars for synthesizers, drum machines were...
Yes. Plus I've always felt "Never as Tired as When I'm Waking Up" - even though it's an atypical LCD Soundsystem song - would suit Rock Band excellently.
Jeebus, I really want those Rocksmith tracks. Not sure I understand all the Three Days Grace love here though. Must be a generational thing. *Get off my lawn you kids!*
Labyrinth and Dark Crystal are stone cold CLASSICS. Remaking them would only lead to CGI (which leads to anger, which leads to suffering, yadda yadda).
Purposely avoiding obvious ones...
5 - Henry Rollins - Black Flag
4 - Andrew WK - not sure if he fits your "rules"
3 - Jack White - The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, ...
2 - Bjork - The...
Oh... I was not aware of that. /premature deification
Drums! Get your Pro Drums here! As I'm sure no one will read this and/or it will get buried by silly OT arguments or some such, I'm free to say whatever I want.... I beat Splync's sightread score! I...
The heart of rock & roll is still beating... DRUM beating, that is! Pro... drum... beating. Ah forget it, just look at these:
Do You Believe in Love
The Heart of Rock & Roll
I Want a New Drug
Those are some damn fine packs!
