Why don't we just make our own list of stuff that won't be updated with keys and harmonies. they can author pro-guitar for RB2 era stuff, so thats not an issue.

I'm thankful for the way RB3 almost demands you play through old favorites, songs you downloaded and never touched, and songs you had no idea you liked yet

Your best bet would be to track down a RB2 bundle and a RB3 bundle. RB2 bundles should be falling in price fast and you can export 70 of those songs to RB3 for $10, or about $0.07 per song.
