I unlocked a lot of songs on RB2 by playing online (band quickplay) with friends that had everything unlocked already. If they have the song unlocked, but you don't, it still shows on the selection....

Not sure how much you were playing. I'll play maybe 1 to 2 hours a day. There was a time I was getting bored too, mostly with rb1. Then I started playing online, and that made it more interesting....
