My guitar is working now. The last three times I played I left the Dongle plugged in but turned on Rock Band and loaded my songs before turning on the guitar and it's working fine.

Don't use the GH Drums for RB. They have three pads and two cymbals and IIRC you only use two pads and two cymbals for RB, thus causing very awkward drummin.

I'm not sure what the issue was this morning but I just got home from work, turned on Rockband and it's connected.
