Is that really such a terrible thing? If you want everyone to agree, keep in your head, because that's the only place where that is gonna happen. Speaking what you think, postivie or negative, is an essential skill for life as a whole and a neccesity.

I realize that, but I HATE how people do it in such a rude, in-your-face attitude. I love it when people say, "(insert band) is not my thing, but if you want them in Rock Band, variety is always welcome." Where some people say, "WTF is wrong with you? Are you serious? That band makes me want to throw up!" What I'm saying is, I know speaking what you think is important, but doing it with the right attitude is also essential.

The list fails as it does not mention overdriveguitarman

How will they know that I am awesome? Now I will have to actually grace people with my presence so that they can understand my amazingly awesome awesomeness.

You nailed it with that one. 'Just speaking your mind' does not give anyone an excuse for being a boorish lout. If you can't make your point civilly and eloquently, you need to brush up on your rhetorical skills instead of simply being rude and trying to apologize it away with 'that's just how I express myself'.

Usually if I feel someone is polluting the boards with stupidity, I have no problem telling them they are doing so. Doesn't work often though. :sigh:

Again, eloquently explaining why you feel they are being stupid works better than just calling people stupid, if only because it keeps you from stooping to their level.
