They can get Queen, remember Killer Queen was on guitar hero 1 and My Best Friend (or a title close to that) was on one of the kareoke revolution games, so don't give up hope for some Mercury!

While I appreciate the consistent dlc, I am simply not that impressed with this week's selection. I will get the B-52s song only because my wife wants more chick vocals - it's not even the best B-52s has to offer. "Epic" is an awesome song and I rejoiced that it was included in Rock Band, but it's the only Faith No More song that was ever any good, why do we need more? And we seriously cannot find a better KISS song than "Calling Dr. Love"? Who in the world passed up "Crazy Crazy Nights", "Rock and Roll All Nite", and "Forever"? Seriously, where is the freakin' Van Halen?
I speak for myself, but 78% agree with me.
You would have thunk so with the backing of MTV/EA and two stellar games under their belts.Secondly, do you honestly think Harmonix has the "pick of the litter" when it comes to what songs they can license/release? Just because they got a few Maiden or Sabbath songs doesn't mean they have the rights to all of them. I'd love to have all of Pink Floyd's MEDDLE album available for play, but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon (mainly due to few players who'd want to do all 20-some-odd minutes of Echoes... but I digress.
You would think so when GH3 is getting Journey and Boston, and we are getting what we got.
I am all for variety. But being touted as a party game, you would think that they would be adding more well know tunes.I will say it again: VARIETY will keep this game alive. It also has a secondary effect of introducing people to music they wouldn't give the time of day to before.
The point AGAIN is that there are better songs than Roam. And "Roam" is as valid a Rock Band song as, say, "Maps" or "Brass In Pocket" or "Orange Crush". Personally I'd love to see more classic New Wave / 90s Britpop bands in the game, like Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Blondie, Blur, Oasis, etc.
Wow. I never said it is all about me. It is about RB and the quality of songs we are getting. As for whining . . . if you want to bend over and take it up the ass, go right ahead. But this is America, and I reserve my right to free speech. I will speak up when I think something is wrong.I haven't liked or downloaded EVERY DLC tune available, but I've come to the realization that IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME. You should try doing the same. I can't *stand* Faith No More, but I'm not gonna whine about it ad nauseum here.
Oh and since you asked me about what KISS song I'd want when I think of KISS, it would easily be either "Hard Luck Woman", "Shock Me", "Cold Gin", or "Kings of the Night Time World". But I have absolutely *ZERO* problem with "Calling Dr. Love". It's a classic tune that has practically been on every tour since they reunited in makeup. So again, what's the big freakin' problem?
Point proven. Thanks for playing
How about this?
Search the web. You will find ALOT of people are not very happy with this DLC.
ANd most people are saying the same things. Not that the bands suck. It is the song selection. Not that it is not on my playlist, etc. These are not the best that any of the bands has to offer.

Oh wait . . . what happened to the just one thread argument.
It only works when it is to your advantage.
And since when did complaining about being dissatisfied=whining?
And I see you neglected to mention how the point is still the same. More people are disappointed with the DLC than actually like it
exactly. look, i HATE linkin park, but if they released a 3 pack with their 3 most popular songs, i wouldn't be concerned becuase its the 3 most popular songs by a popular band.
if u look at the songs released this week and some from last month, along with the songs from the "tentative" march schedule, they are basically giving us album filler songs from some really good artists. all i'm trying to say is i'm starting to see a trend here, and i'm truly concerned for the future of dlc. i hope i'm wrong.
To paraphrase: lies, damned lies, and statistics. 78% of a group of online posters != 78% of the Rock Band populace at larrge.
Yes, well you'd think wrong. But over time their selection will grow as the popularity of the game increases. It's only been 2+ months. Patience, grasshopper. You would have thunk so with the backing of MTV/EA and two stellar games under their belts.
I point to the Oasis 3-pack last week as being better than *ANYTHING* GH3 has put up as downloadable content. But that's my opinion. I recognize that. Shame you can't do the same. You would think so when GH3 is getting Journey and Boston, and we are getting what we got.
And what a shame there are *NO* Boston songs available for Rock Band...
Roam was a ginormously HUGE hit and the B-52's second best selling single of all time. "Calling Dr. Love" was Kiss's smash follow-up single to "Detroit Rock City". Guess *NOBODY* ever heard of either...I am all for variety. But being touted as a party game, you would think that they would be adding more well know tunes.
Again: that is your O-P-I-N-I-O-N. Stop passing it off as fact (although I do agree with you, even though I am very pleased with its inclusion this week.)The point AGAIN is that there are better songs than Roam.
Ah yes, the "free speech" argument, here we go... guess what, you have NO free speech on a private message board; "free speech" only applies to government suppression of the free exchange of ideas. But I'm not going to argue semantics with you (I'd win); I'd rather say, yes, you are certainly within your rights to express your displeasure with the song selection. But stop trying to assume your personal feelings reflect absolute fact and immutable statistical certainty. They just come across as the whiny ramblings of a self-righteous Internet nerd.Wow. I never said it is all about me. It is about RB and the quality of songs we are getting. As for whining . . . if you want to bend over and take it up the ass, go right ahead. But this is America, and I reserve my right to free speech. I will speak up when I think something is wrong.
Speaking of which, you seemed to ignore this line from my post regarding KISS songs:
But I have absolutely *ZERO* problem with "Calling Dr. Love".I think I've made my point quite clearly at this point. Let's just chalk it up that we agree to disagree.Point proven. Thanks for playing
I'd Say Just SHUT UP and get over with it, Take the Bad with the Good.. Lots of ppl will get these DLCS, not me, not my choice of tea, but atleast they are tring to put out songs. How many DLCS a week does others like GH3 put out? I think we should be lucky we are getting them this often, rather then *****ing at them for this and that..
