I came to this game as a novice at rhythm games and a long time Beatles fan. I have been really enjoying playing it so far and am impressed by the work that has obviously gone into it. I've played through the story mode but I think it will take me quite a while to improve my playing.
I've bought the bundle and I like the look of the Hofner but have been finding it rather uncomfortable to play. There are some really sharp corners and edges that dig in and I seem to spend a lot of time trying to find a comfortable position to play it. If I don't get used to it I'll probably end up buying a different guitar. I've no complaints about the drums, but haven't put the bass skin on because it wouldn't feel right.
I love the dreamscapes , especially the ones which look like a lot of time and effort has been put in. I hope we continue to get the variety with the DLC and scenes aren't reused too much.

I've really noticed this. I watch a lot of Beatles concert video and there is so much unspoken communication going on between them all the time. I really miss this in the game, I wish it had been done to a much greater extent than it has because it would make them feel a lot more real.
Overall I'm glad I've got it and I'll be buying all the DLC for the game. I hope it keeps my interest for long enough for me to get good at it.

Doing vocals cooperatively in this game is so much fun. I sat down with my dad and went through the entire story in one night. At first i didn't like the weird shapes of the arrows and the way it went through the tone lines. The little sparkle effect that happens when you're on tone wasn't really enough to help me know I was singing it right. I have gotten used to it now though.

I really like seeing a lot of the things that forum users have requested be in the game that are actually in the game. Being able to practice vocal sections now is really helpful, especially for the harmonies. The countdown clock on resume from pause is also nice and better implemented than Guitar Hero. I was really surprised to see the drum chart in the Overdrive activation areas for drums.

All together I really think that this game has raised the bar in the quality and presentation of rhythm games. Activision's games are a complete joke compared to this. Guitar Hero 5 is looking more like Rock Band to begin with anyway.

One nitpicking thing I have is it would have been nice to see Eric Clapton playing lead in My Guitar Gently Weeps. That would have been a nice surprise.

The game's presentation is beyond stunning, to me no other music game has achieve this magnitude of visuals, from the well put together cutscene/presentations to the amazing, breath-taking, heart pounding, sentimental-filled outro.

I almost cried, I love this game, Thank you Harmonix.

I couldn't agree more with you. I have called and e-mailed the RB makers as well and thanked them for not only the memories of the most popular and wonderful Beatles myself, they said they could not believe the out pour of e-mails and phone calls they have gotten from the Beatles Rock Band /Beatles fans it was certainly unbelieveable they told me. They literally had to open more lines, they just could not believe it, their phones were ringing off the walls and the computers were FULL of Beatles fan e-mails from all around the world. Thanks guys for the wondefully put together game, Wow!You put alot of work into this game andit os obviously very much appreciated by many in the world not just me. It's extremely hard to find a game that is really worth the money spent on it, ya guys over did it ! It was certainly worth the money spent on it. Again Thanks.

I am going to make this short and to the point.

The Beatles: Rock Band is perfect in every way to me. The gameplay is awesome with three part harmonies, the facts for the pictures are a sweet treat, and the dreamscapes are masterpieces that accompany their repected songs perfectly.

I have only found one flaw: 'immortalized' is spelt wrong on the picture text for Hey Bulldog #1.

Other than that, for a music game (or any other game for that matter) I give this game a 97 out of 100. (Personally, I would give it a 100)

    ^
97 because of the 'one band' theme.

Edit: Never mind. Every time the word 'immortalized' is used it is spelt wrong.

I have a couple criticisms of this game. Not deal-breakers, but definite bugaboos that keep me from believing this is the ultimate Beatles experience that was promised.

There were a couple questionable choices in the song list. Hello Goodbye is hardly an essential song to the Beatles catalog, and it seemed to drag on forever. It isn't fun to play at all. Also, where the heck is Hey Jude? It was either shelved due to the cliche aspect (which makes it great in the first place) or just held off to release later as DLC, which is very lame.

Also, the only historical context in the game can be found just in the photo albums. As a Beatle fan, I loved that. But there should have been more in the actual story progression and mini-movies between chapters. It seems very bare-bones.

That's all I really have to say. Everything else is very entertaining and immersive. The Beatles Rock Band is a great game and I will be playing for a very long time. But it's not perfect.

Wow. That is pretty much my review in a few simple letters. I bought this game today (had some money to spare) and was IMMEDIATELY blown away by the visuals. I have NEVER seen a game look this good, and the audio on it is top notch. At first, I was a bit bummed when I found out that the songs in here are NOT exportable to Rock Band, or vice-versa, but after playing a few chapters in the game I just don't think other songs would work in here, or that these Beatles songs would work in Rock Band. The INSANE amount of photos, movies, facts, etc. in this game just blows me away.

When I played "Twist and Shout" it just sent a chill down my spine. (It's funny because I had JUST watched Ferris Beuller's Day Off earlier today). I also found myself saving the Beatlemania power in order to use it at the right times in the song not because of score, but because of the fan reaction. It makes you REALLY seem like you're a part of The Beatles when you active Beatlemania and the crowd starts screaming like mad. It was insane.

I also love how my bass scores are now tracked in the quickplay scores. That is one thing I HATE in Rock Band. (The fact that if you play Bass in Quickplay, your score isn't saved). I'm only 1/4 of the way through the game, and I can't believe how great it is.

If there is something to complain about, it's the note track. At times, it's VERY hard to see the notes because of the awesome visuals and that can be frustrating. In addition, at the start of the song, the logo on the front doesn't go away quick enough and if the track starts with a quick note/chord, it's very easy to miss. It would be nice if that wasn't a problem.

Overall, I have to say BRAVO HMX. You guys did a phenomenal job with this and I'm not even a huge Beatles fan. When I was in GameStop buying this, the guy behind the counter said he was stunned at how quickly the games were flying out of there. I got one of the last PS3 software only games left there. Stunning!
