Default iTunes Give Peace a Chance

Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Julian Lennon announced Tuesday they have partnered with EMI Music and Sony/ATV Music Publishing to donate the net proceeds from the sale of a commemorative 40th Anniversary "Give Peace a Chance" digital single to the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (PBF). The move is to "celebrate the unifying spirit and 40th anniversary of the Plastic Ono Band’s 'Give Peace a Chance,'" according to a statement.

iTunes is now offering a special anniversary edition of the single for download purchase with net proceeds through Dec. 31 benefiting the United Nations initiative, which helps to assist national authorities in post-conflict countries to build and sustain peace.

Cool.

Yoko gets a bad rap that she does not deserve IMO.

John loved her with all his heart and thats good enough for me.

I will be buying the single for sure.

Yeah, Yoko has so much crap she has to live with, being blamed for all of that stuff.

She desrves more respect.

I will definately get this.

This could also mean a better possibility for The Beatles to be on!

Not sure why this would boost hopes for Beatles on iTunes. John Lennon already has his songs there, so it's not a shocker or anything.

Give Peace A Chance was never a very good song :/

Personally I don't think Yoko deserves any respect. She played into John's insecurities and manipulated him, got him into heroin, and was a nuisance to the other band members, constantly distracting them and John when they were recording. She's a loathsome woman and deserves every bit of scrutiny she got
