That's not possible when you have roughly 800 DLC songs that have to load, though. You can't get to a screen where the menu music stops before the "loading additional content" screen pops up and stalls you for an increasing-by-the-week amount of time. The most irritating time is talking to someone and coordinating an invite only to have them take forever to send it. I'd like to hear different songs, if only disc songs. I absolutely dislike that RB2 loops the menu music once it's finished. It wouldn't be as bad as going to a different song when the clip was over, but it's annoying listening to Everlong 13 times in a row waiting for an invite.

Personally, I don't see the point I'm only on the menu for a few seconds.

If you notice, though, the menu music is actually condensed versions of the songs as opposed to clips that already exist. The technical bit is that they probably have all that music stored somewhere else, and as such currently can't program it to play, say, preview clips of songs.

Disagree. I don't see it as something that irks me, as I'm normally at the song select screen fairly quickly. I have 700+ DLC that has to load, and I'm patient enough to withstand the menu music for the necessary time.

more varied menu music would be nice. or even just replaced with live venue sound effects.

also, some of the other sound effects should be turned down a bit. we are always turning the volume up and down between songs / sets. the beatles game did really good with this.
