One last thing that I can think of:

After checking to see if you can play Rock Band 1 songs, go out to the dashboard, go back into memory and delete the Lego Rock Band Export Key one more time after authenticating the Rock Band 1 license, Clear the System Cache Again and the redownload the Lego Rock Band Export Pack.

Come to think of it that, I didn't download the Lego Rock Band Export Pack until after I verified Rock Band 1 songs worked.

Sorry when I did it I wasn't writing the steps down, I was just trying something different.

Now you should be able to Export the songs.

I am not sure if you were getting the error at all, but this seems to be the only process that finally worked for me.

I was getting the error, too... until I realized you had to go enter the codes and all that first. Then everything went flawlessly.

The problem is the majority of us had already done that and we still couldn't get the export to start.

Yeah, same with me. After I entered the code and downloaded the key, when I pushed the button in the music store the error went away.
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.

Like all of you I have been trying with no success to export the songs from Lego RB and getting that Error Code 800.. (even after downloading the Lego Rock Band Export Pack (that has the license key), well I finally got it to work.

I tried the steps people have put down and nothing seemed to work, called Xbox support and after being on the phone with them for more than an hour zip. Well here is what worked for me. YMMV

(Note: I have changed my Xbox more than once and still have same HD, this may have been what was causing the issue for me)

Also please be aware that this may not be the solution for everyone, but after many different tries this is what finally worked for me.

    1. Get the code for Lego Rock Band and enter it in Redeem code and download license key (Lego Rock Band Export Pack) 108k
    2. Go to Memory/HD/Games/Rock Band/ Rock Band Export License (Original Rock Band, NOT EVERYONE WILL HAVE IT, BUT THIS SEEMED TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE FOR ME) Delete it.
    3. Go to Memory/HD/Games/Rock Band/Lego Rock Band Export Pack and delete it.
    4. Go to Memory/HD/System Files/Delete Xbox Marketplace Data and Rights DB.
    5. Go back to Memory and right before you enter the Hard Drive hit Y and select Delete System Cache.
    6. Back out and Power off your Xbox 360 and wait about 30 seconds to turn it back on.
    7. Power Xbox 360 back on and make sure you are logged onto Xbox Live.
    8. On the Tab where it shows your Avatar go to My Account/Purchase History.
    9. Scroll Down until you find Rock Band Export License and redownload it.
    10. NOW Launch Lego Rock Band Game (Free Play and make sure that I could see and play Rock Band 1 songs which might have reauthorized the console, I could)
    11. Go out to the Dashboard and Redownload the Lego Rock Band Export Pack from Purchase History
    12. Launch Lego Rock Band, got to the Store and go down to Export and you should now be able to Purchase the pack. (Make sure you have the 800 Points of course)

Seems Long and convoluted but I wasn't able to do anything since Tuesday and after many tries this is what worked for me, hope it helps you too.

    Good Luck
I have modified my instructions post as you can see in the quote above. They are now EXACTLY the procedure that I went through.

    I hope this helps someone.

Nothing is working. I've deleted my cache like 9 times. Both export keys. Anything short of buying a third copy and making a new gamertag (GUH! If that worked i'd be pissed). Oh well. I'll just lug both discs around.

    Mfatman,

You are a life saver. I did what you said, and after two days of cursing and throwing things, I'm relieved of this problem. Thank you. I was wondering... Do you think maybe this problem stems from people using a different console than the one they originally had the Rock Band Exporter License on? I had my original, got a new one, moved all of my RB1 and 2 info and saves etc onto my 120GB hard drive. Maybe the original license and rights database needs to be refreshed on the new console? Either way, its working now..... WHO YA GONNA CALL!!!!!

I could always use the License Exporter and burn my 1 year of it (Screwed if I buy a new box)....why not?

That is great news, I am glad it worked for someone else.

It definitely seems to me to be associated with the fact that I have changed my console multiple times since I copied over Rock Band and kept the same hard drive. But who knows for sure, I am just glad to have these songs in Rock Band 2. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!
