I'm pretty sure this would destroy the whole Rock Band franchise. There is absolutely no way Harmonix could remain making a profit off these games if you were right and we got these band games. There just aren't enough people willing to buy them. And I'm not sure why you're calling DLC mundane, it changes every week and is interesting to see what Harmonix is making to help build Rock Band 2's music store. Anyways, the only game I would buy out of your list (or agree with cause I may not even buy it) is the one for Led Zeppelin. Everything else deserves only DLC at the most, and even then I don't think some of your bands are worthy enough to be made into DLC.

The only bands that COULD get a band specific game Rock Band style would be:
The Beatles (Done)
Queen
AC/DC
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
The Rolling Stones
Those are the bands that could really work. The only one that should happen is The Beatles, and it did.
The only bands that could get a game Guitar Hero style are:
Aerosmith (Done)
Genesis
U2
Chicago
Eagles
Bon Jovi
The Carpenters (Not gonna happen but it COULD work GH style)
Deep Purple
Fleetwood Mac
Guns N' Roses
Metallica (Done)
The Who
That said, I honestly don't know how Van Halen got one. Even for GH style, they can't really work. Yet they got a (half finished) game still.
Note: I'm not saying these bands should have games, I'm just saying they could work.

i think the only band that deserves their own band-centric game is judas priest, since they pretty much created metal, but it would have to be exportable, or at least compatible with all of out judas priest songs so far

No other bands should have their own games, instead they should release track packs or loads of DLC. That would be the smater thing IMO.
