Add in the cost of licensing the songs to what LoopyChew said and $2.00 seems more than fair.

In terms of development, these charts still consist of four different note tracks (drums/vocals/bass/guitar), as well as all the tracks required of the different instruments, as well as camera/lighting effects. They likely put in just as much development time into the tracks here as they do in the actual game.
how so!, have you seen the characters in this game......? all the do is randomly strum or talk and are repetitive in the way they move, and in the console games the lights and effects would suite the song..,....not in Unplugged. So it would not i think cost as much.

2 points.

1. To all the other points made earlier, add in my assumption that less DLC overall would be sold for RB:U, requiring that the price be increased so it can remain profitable.
2. What price they need to charge to make the DLC profitable and what you as a consumer are happy to pay can be two different things. You have every right to make the point, but at the end of the day just don't buy it if you don't think it's fair. If enough people feel the same way, they'll either be forced to stop making DLC or reduce the price (asssuming they can still make a profit).

Ah, so you mean in-game animations. While the guitar/drum tracks don't move in sync to the game the way they do on console, that actually takes less effort than you may think, because in the actual game the guitar/bass strumming is programmed in the note track itself (it reads off the Expert track), while the drums may take a bit more effort but are mostly based off the expert track as well. Lip-synching for vocals isn't handled by the audio team at all--that's a job for Magma.

However, I've seen console and lighting effects in RBU, too (e.g. the scanline effects in Our Truth), so they're in there, even if they're not as obvious.
