Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt about it. The others are all great in their own way. Xiu Xiu's Dear God I Hate Myself is probably their most accessible album to date (and it's great too). The new jj album is just as good if not better than the first, and The Besnard Lakes' album is just a solid record all around.

Though my personal favorite recent release is still Ghostkeeper's self-titled album which you probably won't be able to find anywhere online unless you get the link from me. If you're interested in checking it out let me know and I'll send you the link.
It's good to be happy. There's no hope.

The Good: Guided by Voices, They Might Be Giants, Xiu Xiu, Throwing Muses, S, The Wrens, The Mountain Goats, Enon, Deerhoof, Pavement, Fugazi, Husker Du...
    The Bad: Vampire Weekend
The Wut?: Dum Dum Girls, Aziz Ansari, Bend Sinister, JJ, You Say Party! We Say Die!...

Do I even have to rate this one?! Still awesome, great quantity/quality (though not the broadest variety I've seen from you) and lots of bands I really enjoy. Though VW is on here.... so.

    8/10, or 9/10 iunno.

I decided to listen to Contra once more to see if it sucked less than I remembered. It was one of the bigger mistakes I made recently, and when I tell you about the rest of my mistakes you'll fully appreciate the weight of that statement.

Yet you put them in a negative column indicating that they are not good.

8/10, there's usually less artists I dislike in your charts Gowie but Pixies and TMG make up for them
