Can you think of a better way? I couldn't.

Um... Everybody just posts their votes. Only the first post counts. Edits nullify votes. Manually counting them after voting closes.

I mean sooner or later, somebody is going to be pasting fifty songs for this first week and forgets to add their song or add the totals correctly or something. Already there are conflicting vote posts due to posting at the same time.

Then the person whose vote appears 2nd edits their post to add in the previous post. Having the TC manually count every vote would be torturous. If I was running it I would rather have a final count that may be missing a couple votes than having to count them all up after, but that's just me.

Yeah. It is not that hard, after you post to see if someone got their post in first and edit your post to also reflect their votes.

first, it allows everyone to know which songs are in the lead as the voting progresses

second, manually counting one hundred posts would be awful, whereas a person just adding to the count and checking the previous posts for the ones that got away would be much easier...

Boohoo. Nobody said this would be easy. Sometimes the way to do things and if you want to do them right takes a little effort.

I mean, this way is just too easy to manipulate vote totals for songs people don't like. If this thread were to go 20 pages, how would anybody want to prove the totals are even close to be accurate?

If people do it right, it will be easy to look at each post to see where votes were added.

Of course, if there was not a limit of ten in the polling system it would be even easier...

Of course, if there was not a limit of ten in the polling system it would be even easier...

Whatever happened to that string of posts that already split the songs so that there could be a poll?

Also: 'If people do it right'? The first post that wasn't you was done 'incorrectly'. It's simply a bad voting process borne of a desire to do as little work as possible.
