It's a good way to grow your DLC library again at 1/2 the cost

This seems like a good opening to announce that I just did exactly that.

For those that have been wondering why I've been scarce for the past few weeks, I've been building this:


It's still not quite done (note how the drums have no cymbals yet, and I don't have a high def cable to connect the box and the TV yet, and my DLC so far is kinda puny, and I haven't upgraded to xbox live gold yet, and....), but by next week I'll probably be migrated fully to the box.

So for the few remaining wii regulars around here (Jammer, Clare, John, Mark...?) if you see this, I'm gonna try to be on the wii a bunch this week to play final sets with you guys. If you know a time you'll be on leave a response here and I'll try to jam with you. Gonna miss all of ya.

Welcome Chuck I also wanted to share that I think Chuck got an xbox Gamertag and added MS points to it to buy the DLC on sale before he got the xbox? (Correct me if I am wrong Chuck). So, if any of you were thinking about it, but can't afford the xbox right now, you could do the same - buy the DLC now, and download to xbox at some time in the future when you have the xbox. The sale ends tomorrow.

I did get the gamertag before the xbox, and set up my credit card info on it (OMG is it sick easy to buy more points and get more DLC whenever you want on the box - dangerous dangerous stuff), but I wasn't quite ready to trust that going ahead with the buying online would work right when I got the box. So when I went to buy my new monster TV on Saturday I threw an xbox in the cart and added points and bought DLC using that after I got it set up.

From what I've seen of the slick integration between xbox.com and the GT stuff on the box, I bet it would work, though. I was worried mostly about the security when tying the gamertag to the new box, but it had me enter my Windows Live ID and password and stuff on the box so it was as secure as most anything can be online.

I haven't tried queueing up downloads on xbox.com to dump to the box yet. I should go try that now...

Another sad moment in Wii RB2 history,but xbox gains a truly fun drummer.I will miss the Den Of Sin for sure..great times!! I've been pretty scarce lately too.I'm up for one more Thirsty Thursday session if your free,C?? It would be nice to pull everybody out of the woodwork for a last blast.

Although I was never technically an OMB'er (too young by a couple of years ), I always enjoyed jamming with you Chuck. I'll be on RB2 tonight if you want to play some huge Rush set lists or maybe some Sweetness and Light (nobody's gonna have that on XBox either I bet :P).

I don't think I'll be available Thursday as that's supposed to be date night for me and the better half.
