For once, I agree with you. Eventually, we'll get used to it, but I'm already missing the old forum setup.

Man, even ad-block can't fix this crap... It looks like someone squished the old I-Mockery forums.

this forum layout is horrible....good lord!!!! Everything is so HUGE. I can only see the top 4 threads on any forum when i open that forum? Not to mention the horrible spacing of posts....text size...no post count (no biggie) no location (no biggie) And what was wrong with having all the menu options at the top of the page? ugh, whatever.

On the bright side, now logging in sends you back to the page you were browsing instead of just redirecting you to the home page.

Now if it could keep me logged in for more than half an hour at a time, then we'd really be talking.

gave Pro Keys a go. So far, I don't understand how you're able to maintain orientation for where your hands need to be relative to the color. I know the keys have those barriers between color sections for your fingers to touch, but I can barely feel them and by the time you check and get yourself situated again, it's too late.

    anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried the trainers yet?
My roommate's never played a keyboard beyond just doodling on keys, but she's managing easy pro after spending an hour in pro keys training mode.

I've played most of the songs on easy pro and a handful on medium pro. It's gonna take a while to get used to such a daunting note highway.

I have, right now I'm about halfway through the trainer (or I guess, the Medium Difficulty of it). So far it has yet to offer any instruction on how to orient your hands on--as you said--such a large highway. Which is a bit concerning: I would think that's one of the first things they'd instruct you on, followed by scales and chords

New forums are weird, man. I guess the integration of everything is nice, but yeah, the layout is no fun. Lack of a post count is slightly disappointing because I was really, really close to 5,000 posts (I guess my title will change though).

Rock Band 3 is a blast though, too bad I'm unable to play it again for a week. Keys take me some getting used to, but I think I'll get the hang of it. Did anyone do the Gamestop pre-order or try to export Rock Band 2 songs? It wasn't working for me, but this website was also down at the time, so I don't know if that had something to do with it.
