I'm actually really interested in seeing whether interest in RB3 ends up spilling over into the existing RBN tracks.

(Mine, in particular. Is that selfish of me?)

Well, at the very least, it seemed to me that RBN songs have been more fully integrated into the game and the music downloading process than before, so I imagine there would be some boost in sales.

It'd be nice. Markleford and I have plans for a pizza and beer debauch, once we can finally cash a check.

RBN songs are definitely more integrated into the game. In fact, I'm not sure they're even differentiated in the music store, which I think is pretty cool. Speaking of which, I love the new music store.

They are differentiated in the Music Store... at least, they are on the second-class-citizen consoles...

I'm so overwhelmed by RB3 I haven't even looked at anything involving DLC yet.

I just got the Doors pack and free 3-pack that comes with pre-ordering the game. I'm actually playing medium keys right now and did really well on "Soul Kitchen".

I tried rolling through the regular mode keys a bit this morning and sight-read several of the hardest songs on expert (Luv Elton). I may actually play more regular keys than I expected because it's pretty fun and far more relaxed than pro mode.

Also, I attempted uploading a few avatar pics with no luck, so had to turn to photobucket as well.
I started off on the regular keys and enjoyed it as well, but felt that it would've defeated the purpose of getting the keyboard if I didnt try for Pro.

Just got done playing another few road challenges (it is REALLY hard to get the plane), and wanted to share some of the positives with the game:

    1) character animation is a lot better: vocalists in particular really move to the atmosphere of the song; no more hard rock/metal head banging or fist pumping in the sky to "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"
    2) piggybacking on that point, I'm very happy that they alternate male/female characters for the applicable vocals.
    3) as LoR already mentioned I think, the fact that you have setlist options really improves the career mode. (that and Im glad they got rid of the "money" earned/lost, which was never a factor). Doesn't force you to settle for on-disc songs that you have no interest in, and I think that's a big boost for RB morale.
