Going by RBN standards - it'll have to be edited out, I believe. As a fan of the song I was disappointed (but I understood) when "raped" was removed from the pre-chorus of "Fake It" by Seether. There's at least one precedent on RBN, which, as we know, has different standards than DLC put out by Harmonix.

Also, that's not a good example of an RBN song having different standards than Harmonix DLC. In that instance, the lyrics are "I feel so raped" which is worse contextually than the times it's been left in by Harmonix.

Also, the author can censor whatever they feel like, whether that issue would have prevented submission is a different story

Welcome to the thread where all of your worries will be cast aside. All of your troubles and problems fade away. This is the announcement thread for Kario Charts.

Let me start off by making something very clear. I am not going to announce a thing until I have a contract signed and in my hand. As much as I'd like to devulge who I'm "in talks" with, it's better for everyone if I stay careful through all of this. Now that I have that out of the way, I am announcing two artists today.

First off, Ronald Jenkees. RJ has decided to continue working with me after the success of Guitar Sound. Specifically, the next song that will be charted and released is Throwing Fire. Throwing Fire is on the album "Disorganized Fun," the same album that contains Guitar Sound. We are going to be waiting for keyboard charting to become available, so look for this in early 2011.

Secondly, an artist completely new to the Rock Band Network, THE GREGORY BROTHERS! To be more specific, those people that do the AutoTune the News bits on YouTube. We will be bringing Bed Intruder and Double Rainbow to the RBN! We've decided to wait for keyboard charting for these songs as well, so look for these songs in early 2011.

The word "rapin'" was left intact in "Dead" by Pixies, so you should be fine.

Words cannot express how cool this is. Just a couple of weeks ago I was thinking about how hilariously awesome it would be for Bed Intruder Song to be in the game, and you've negotiated both that AND Double Rainbow? Kudos. Seriously.

Oh, another quick question I had. As far as Bed Intruder is concerned, will you be charting the iTunes version (the full, 3 minute version) or the shorter version they first did?

It was mentioned in a previous thread that the iTunes version is the "official" version, so that would be the one that'd get used.

Oh I'll try to. Just to generate hype without giving anything away:

One song I'm currently working on getting would be instantly recognized by millions, although the song itself isn't popular.

A band I've been in talks with is currently on tour and working on a Live DVD. They've already said they are going to work with me, but the contract itself won't be finalized until after their tour, so look for an announcement about this in early 2011.
